Why did we only stay one day in Prauge?!?

Awh mistakes...

Oh well a great experience means determination to come back for more!!

Today Lindsey and I went on a walking tour! We only have one day it's the biggest bang for out buck.

We learned so much, our guide was great at telling us stories and expressing the history of this place. Starting by the oldest working astronomical clock in Europe, we learned how to read it and understood the actually Turing of the hour in underwhelming. We didn't stay to watch. Then moved along with the tour ending in front of the castel hill by the river. This is where lindsey and I set off to explore solo.

Not having breakfast and three hours of a walking tour, we had earned our selves a good meal. We found a lovely cafe restaurant, that was yes in Ina very turoristy part but oh well. Lindsey ordered, and proudly devoured, a quater of a duck. While I sipped on a bowl of amazing goulash. Also what is a real Czech meal with out a half liter of beer? It's not, so some dark ale supported our meal.

Feeling heavy and happy we trucked along the castel on the hill. Eventually find out selves in a moat! Here is my mini update video on how we go here:

The day ended with us finding the metronome on top of the hill as sell. The metronome represents years lost under the communist regime. The metronome stand now where a giant statue of Stalin use to stand, however, it what is below that is the real kicker. Below the metronome is a bar/café that is called the Stalin café. It's werid and off putting at first. But the people who hang out in this spot are not tourist. They are young adults hanging out on a Thursday evening. So as it may be weird it's also also reminder of what was there. More over on that the Czech use to name out their bulding this way.

Before address people in prauge would identify house by symbols, not crests, but symbol. If there was a blue horse on your building it was the blue horse house. A favorite of our guides was the golden Mellon house. Which litterly had a golden melon hanging from it. Now a days there are more practical adresses, but some shops are stilled named after the houses. So with the Stalin statue, it makes sense to name the cafe that, I guess.

Czech Republic is a beautiful place, and if you are ever given the opportunity to go here do it! Even if it is a day, it's is worth it. I love Brno and I love prauge too. It's been ad great time! But next stop is Frankfurt!

Thanks for reading!!
